- Now add frothy milk and mix well. Add water accordingly little at a time and combine to make a sticky dough. Knead the dough for at least 10 mins to make it smooth and soft.
- Rest the dough for 1.5 to 2 hours or until it doubles in size.
- After restarting take out the dough. Puncture it and make smooth dough.
- Take one small ball and make thin string like this from it.
- Now fold the string like this. After this two ends will remain free like image shown.
- Now fold one end and place it under first fold like this. After this one end will remain free.
- Now flatten the free end like this to make tail of bird. Cut it like this to give it a shape of feathers.
- Make a small ball out of dough and place on the fold to make the head of bird and paste it with milk. Pull some portion from front of the head to make a beak like structure.
- Make all sparrows like this. And place them on baking dish. Use black sesame seeds to make eyes.
- Apply oil on each sparrow and cover with Muslin cloth. Allow it to rest for like 20-30mins. Meanwhile preheat the oven at 220°c.
- Give the sparrows a nice milk wash and bake in a preheated oven at 220°c for 20 mins.
- After baking put them all on cooling rack apply oil and relish with hot tea or coffee.
