- Dry roast moong dal on slow heat till it becomes brown in colour.
- Melt and boil jaggery in 1cup of water. Cool and seive it.
- Wash dal and cook it in 1 glass of water.
- When it is cooked mash it and add prepared jaggery water.Gas is still on.Simmer it. Add coconut milk.Boil only once after adding coconut milk. Switch off the gas.Add fried cashews, kishmish and elaichi pdr.
- Payasam is ready to serve.
- Don't boil it too much after adding coconut milk.It will curdle…..
